Actually they aren't Mario Segali and Luigi Segali (Although Mario was named after a guy called Mario Segali, one of Nintendo's staff's landlords, who came in asking for rent when he was thinking of a name for Jumpman), their ingame names are Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.
