As a Protestant I have not heard anything from fellow Celtic fans that would cause me offence. Sure there are some disputable songs sung at away games such as "Go on home British Soldiers" but nothing about being "up to our knees in Protestant blood", for example. Many Irish "Rebel" refer to the Irish Republican Army of pre-1921 rather than the PIRA. I believe "hun" is used to compare the Rangers support to the Marauding Barbarians of Attila The Hun, rather than the Nazis. I may be wrong here but I am sure it was coined in an article by a journalist after the Rangers fans rioted in Barcelona in 1972. Apparently Rangers fans used to call Celtic huns because Ireland remained neutral during WWII and obviously Celtic FC have firm roots in Ireland. I am no fan of the Orange Lodge but I wouldn't call a Rangers fan an "Orange Bastard".

I'm not sure mate, whatever derogatory term Rangers fans can come up with I suppose. I could be wrong here but I assume you are inferring, as many do, that the word "hun" has sectarian connotations? In my opinion this is simply not true and the best example I can think of is that I am a Protestant and have never been called a "hun" in my life. Hun = Rangers supporter. Sure, it's insulting to compare a group of fans to an ancient horde of rampaging barbarians but that is all.
