@Skepsis0Metal Agreed. In my eyes some drummers need to stick to the one pedal. On my kit I could never do what Nicko does, but I can sure try ! (I fail at times lol) but you got some drummers who use double bass kits when they only need to use 1. serious, I got a dragon drum kit not many people know about, but like this kit, new heads and fine tuning and theres no difference between a beginner kit and Tama or Pearl. Nicko deserves a spot in the hall of fame far above most drummers.

Just goes to show, the only real difference that we pay several thousand for is the designer label on Pearl or Tama, not in quality. Sadly it takes nothing short of an icon among drummers to show the idiots that. Same with the pedals. I see so many band using double pedals for stuff that they really should be using one for. Yet Nicko here uses one for what most others would require two for. True legend

WOW.. it's so rare that I'm impressed with a drummer, but wow... just wow. Most drummers I see think they got to be full on all the time. This guy knows how to drum, and knows when to have a little, and when to explode. KABOOMY! The technique, timing, and attention to changing moods are fantastic. I'm betting he's had some form of formal musical training at some point in his life. So many "play" music, so few understand it.

@mexiryan yes he does I've heard him say before that he doesn't like the double bass set up. He said that it's rather difficult for him to have 2 bass drums and he also said that he feels it to be undrummerish to have 2 bass drums. I believe it was on the "Dance of Death' album, there is a song in which he did use the double bass set up and that he would NEVER use that set up again.

@duchmanforlife if you want to stick to paiste but want to keep the costs down (a bit anyway) try out the 2002's and/or the giant beats. They were and still are used by most of the top rock bands of the 70's, 80's etc and are made of B8 bronze, so should be a bit cheaper than the signatures/twenty series.

Hello again, yeah i dont understand why people dont use them much either!. at the moment i have the standard sonor ones that came with the kit, my kit is fairly new, my kit line is a Sonor force 3007 maple, it came with Sonor 400 series hardware which really top notch stuff, i couldnt ask for better to be ohnest. I use Paiste cymbals, i have about 9 haha, i have some 2002 series some rudes, a 900 series from 1984 and a sound reflections from 1986. UP THE IRONS FROM ENGLAND! \m/

That's great. I have a coated CS head on my 12" tom, coated Emperor on the 13" and clear Pinstripe on the 16"(suffice it to say, I didn't know a whole lot about drumheads when I was getting them :P ). When I got the CS, I initially did it because I thought it looked great, which is a very dumb reason, I know, but as it turns out, it's the best sounding head I've tried! I absolutely love the thing!!! XD

Went there yesterday-had Rock n Roll ribs with garlic toast-the toast was great but had to send the ribs back-they were way undercooked and covered in fat but the sauce was really great!Nice place-i will give it another go and let you know what its like!

Haha, I was there I remember how hot it was. So That's where he disappeared to, I was thinking "bathroom break?" lol. We were all crammed up against the barricade and it was HOT, so much so that they started hosing us down with big hoses, aah that was nice because man the heat was intense, but no way were we gonna let the heat win. Yes, you're right about this single pedal thing, but in Face In The Sand Nicko's using double bass - for stamina reasons. If my memory serves me good, Face in the sand wasn't played on Death on the road tour (where the other songs from DoD were played) because they didn't want to transport the double pedal. BTW he only uses single pedal, and his foot is f*cking fast... he's better on 1 foot than Joey on doublebass. ^^ \m/ Up The Irons! \m/
